Friday night at 2233hrs, E49-2 and Ambulance 49-3 responded to Hanover Borough Box 46-06, Lee Street in the area of McKinley Ave, , for a stolen UTZ Quality Foods truck into a structure with no injuries reported. Units staged until Hanover Borough Police could clear the scene of possible occupants involved in the theft of the truck. E49-2’s crew and volunteers assisted until the scene was cleared.

Family Tradition Continues


Deputy Fire Chief Jason Cromer and son, Junior Firefighter Brady Cromer spend some time on the fire station roof watching the firefighter agility testing process for future career firefighter positions with Penn Township or Hanover Fire Departments. Jason is the son and Brady is the grandson of the department fire chief.

Hose Cart Coming Home

 The old hose cart previously owned by the Parkville Fire Company before being donated to the York County Fire Museum in the early 1980’s is coming home to PTVES. The hose cart was originally purchased from the Westminster Fire Department for Parkville Fire Company in the companies infantcy for fire protection.

   Several PTVES volunteers along with the career staff passed out lots of candy this evening to the children in Penn Township, a department tradition. 

Big Collision on Grandview

Penn Township Volunteer Emergency Services responded Monday afternoon at 15:21 hours for a collision between a Jeep, a passenger car, a tractor trailer and a pole. Minor injuries to all occupants thankfully. Units responding included Engine 49-1, Rescue 49, Micu’s 49-1, 49-4, 49-5, fire police and Penn Township PD. 

Fire Prevention Week

Penn Township Fire Department personnel along with the Hanover Fire Department presented a fire prevention program at Park Hills Elementary School Tuesday. This years program had a football theme with one firefighter dressed as a referee and even Helmet the Dalmatian had on his favorite football jersey. Tours of the apparatus is always a favorite among the children. Fire Prevention programs will be conducted for two weeks throughout Penn Township and Hanover Borough.
